WASHINGTON—With one week to go until the elections, CUNA is providing some last-minute support in South Dakota for Senate candidate Mike Rounds.
Rounds is a Republican who is a former governor of the state who is in a three-way race with Democratic candidate Rick Weiland and former GOP Sen. Larry Pressler, who is running as an independent. What had been considered a tight race is now considered to be trending in the direction of Rounds, according to a recent NBC/Marist poll. CUNA said it is providing support in the form of radio ads in Rapid City and Sioux Falls, S.D. Credit unions are also providing support.
