MADISON, Wis.—Two Wisconsin credit unions are among 17 individuals, businesses and organizations that have been named recipients of the 2014 Wisconsin Financial Literacy Award, as selected by the Governor’s Council on Financial Literacy.
“These worthy individuals and organizations are making a difference by increasing the personal financial knowledge and skills of Wisconsinites of all ages,” Governor Scott Walker said in making the announcement. “By improving their financial capabilities, our citizens can improve their quality of life and, in the process, help strengthen the Wisconsin economy.”
The recipients will be honored in a ceremony at the Capitol on Jan. 28, 2015.
Among the winners are Summit Credit Union, Madison, and the School $ense program of Royal Credit Union, Eau Claire.
