PHILADELPHIA–Credit unions here are alerting members to branch closures as a result of the visit by Pope Francis. All of the closed branches are located downtown, where the pope will be leading a Papal Mass as part of the Festival of Families.
As a result, credit unions with affected facilities have been alerting members to their options via shared branching. Among the credit unions that have announced branch closures are American Heritage FCU, SB1 FCU, and Trumark Financial CU.
Several credit unions in Washington, D.C., have also dealt with branch issues related to the pope’s recent visit.
