SAGINAW, Mich.–Timothy Benecke, CEO of Wildfire Credit Union here, has announced plans to retire in the first half of 2024. The credit union has launched a search for a replacement.
Benecke has led the $1-billion Wildfire Credit Union for the past 15 years. Prior to that he was CEO of Financial Edge Credit Union and vice president of Dow Credit Union.
During his tenure at Wildfire Benecke has overseen growth to more than 47,000 members and 185 employees, the credit union has re-branded and completed several building projects, and is currently implementing a state-of-the-art digital platform.
Benecke also served on the Michigan Credit Union League Board of Directors for 15 years.
