NASHVILLE, Tenn.–Your Best Credit Union has named a new president and CEO to succeed the retiring Joe A. Menninger, Jr.
The $17-million YBCU has selected Adrian Muniz III to lead the organization. Muniz previously served as vice president with the credit union, and has more than 16 years of experience in financial services.
Muniz currently resides on the board of directors for Wilson County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), Mt. Juliet Parks and Recreation Board, and Mt. Juliet Alcohol Beverage Board (Member). He previously served on the board of the Mt. Juliet Chamber of Commerce and received recognition as the city's Chamber of Commerce Ambassador of the Year.
‘Tremendously Excited’
“I am tremendously excited and thrilled to have the Your Best Credit Union board of directors entrust me as the next president/CEO of Your Best Credit Union,” said Muniz. “The credit union philosophy of people helping people will always be at the forefront. I look forward to leading the employees and members into the next chapter, focusing on innovative ways to reach and assist our current and potential members.”
Retiring After 40 Years
Menninger has retired after 40 years in credit unions. He began with what was then called Willis Credit Union in 2013 as EVP, before being named president/CEO in 2014.
During his career Menninger held several board and leadership roles within the community, and is currently involved with the Marine Corps League Albert E Schwab Detachment 857.
Former affiliations include the Hendersonville, Tenn. Chamber of Commerce Government Relations Committee (chairman), CUES Greater Southern Council (chairman), Middle Tennessee Chapter of Credit Unions (president), Literacy Council of Sumner County (board member), and Leadership Sumner (member).
He is a life member of the Marine Corps League, Disabled American Veterans, and American Legion.
In retirement, Joe plans to spend time with his wife, traveling and volunteering to help veterans.
‘Very Instrumental’
“Mr. Menninger has been instrumental in building and maintaining the credit union’s financial health throughout the years, primarily through the pandemic,” said Your Best Credit Union Board Chair James O'Dell. “We have truly appreciated the work and dedication Mr. Menninger has performed for the credit union. Joe will serve in an advisory role until his retirement date. “
