Whitefish CU Introduces New Online ‘Member Stories’ Documentary Series

WHITEFISH, Mont. –– Whitefish Credit Union has introduced a new online “Members Stories” documentary series it said is aimed at highlighting “some incredible businesses, non-profits, and members shaping and changing Montana for the better.”

According to the credit union, the unique series is an in-depth look at how local businesses and individuals support Northwest Montana in unique and engaging ways, whether preserving some of Montana’s breathtaking wilderness, preserving local history, or even creating some unforgettable culinary (or brew) experiences.

“These stories are about how our members invest in our communities, making them stronger, more vibrant, and more livable for every Montanan,” said CEO James Kenyon. “We’re proud to share their stories.”

Drawing People In

Whitefish Credit Union said each the eight-part videos—featured on WhitefishCU.com/Stories—draws viewers into the “lives of different organizations or individuals, exploring their inspiration and their daily struggles and highlighting the inescapable joy of pursuing their passions. For some members, it’s about creating a community hub, a place to share a drink, listen to music, or even learn to crochet. For others, it’s exploring unique new ways of running a business or changing how we live on and work with the land. And for skateboarders, it’s a chance to create a destination for kids, youth, and adults to challenge themselves.”

The series features the Whitefish Skatepark Association, the Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation, the Ninepies Museum of Early Montana, Trego Pub & General Store, Backslope Brewing, Three Dog Ranch, Spotted Bear Ranch, and others.

‘Even More Fun’

In a statement accompanying release of the new videos, Matt Holloway from the Whitefish Skatepark Association, said, “Because of this [video], we’ve had people from all around the county reach out to support our cause of expanding the Whitefish skatepark. We will continue to spread awareness using the video, but perhaps even more fun, it will be a long-lasting memory of our time together in relation to this project. Without WCU’s support, we would not have such a genuine documentation of our friendship, community support, and a shared love of skateboarding.”

The credit union added the Member Stories aren’t just about promoting Whitefish Credit Union and are also about “recognizing how our communities are built and strengthened through the commitment and passion of those who live here. And that serves as an inspiration for others to pursue their dreams.”
