MADISON, Wis.–The CUNA Technology Council has released a new white paper, “Cybersecurity Compliance: Preparation and Protection.”
The paper is being released in the wake of news that during 2014, 79,790 cybersecurity incidents occurred in the U.S., including 2,122 confirmed data losses/breaches, and of those, 642 incidents and 277 data losses occurred in the financial services industry.
The paper discusses:
- NCUA’s guidance
- The cybersecurity exam itself and how to prepare
- Accessing resources
- Creating an incident response program
Several credit unions share their experiences with the cybersecurity compliance exam, alongside other industry experts.
