When Fighting Irish Take on Trojans, Their CUs Will Also be Battling—for Charity

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Once again this college football season, when the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the University of Southern California Trojans face off,  off the field Notre Dame FCU and USC Credit Union will also be battling--for charity.

Each credit union will put $5,000 on the line and select a charitable organization. The winner of the Notre Dame versus USC matchup on November 26 will determine the $10,000 recipient.

According to the credit unions, if the Fighting Irish beat the Trojans in Southern California, Notre Dame FCU will be supporting Project Impact, a South Bend-based charity providing training, counseling, and education services in the areas of personal growth, health, and economic development for the entire family through direct programming and selective collaboration. Project Impact assists all families, with a focus on low-income and underserved communities.

USC Credit Union has selected the Leslie and William McMorrow Neighborhood Academic Initiative (NAI), supporting more than 1,000 children in college access programs and early literacy programs each year. The NAI is a seven-year pre-college program that prepares students from South and East Los Angeles for admission to a college or university.
