What Does Financial Health Really Look Like? Approaching Meeting to Offer Some Answers

SAN ANTONIO–Organizers say they are expecting a strong turnout when the 6th annual CU FinHealth Conference is head in just about three weeks.

The meeting, which is co-hosted by the Cornerstone Foundation, the California and Nevada leagues and the National Credit Union Foundation, is set for April 25-27 in San Antonio.

“The focus is to take a lot of the conversation we had at (CUNA’s) GAC around financial health and well-being for all and dig into the practical aspects,” said Gigi Hyland, executive director of the National Credit Union Foundation.

Among the issues to be explored, Hyland said, are:

  • What does financial health and well-being really look like?
  • How can it be incorporated into a credit union’s strategy?
  • What do CEOs think?
  • What does the actual process look like as instituted by a credit union?

Hyland, who said approximately 155 people are currently registered, said the meeting will also include a panel discussion on inclusion and another on fintech.

“It’s a really intense programs for a conference that engenders a lot of conversation and normally a lot of action,” said Hyland.
