Westerra Enters Partnership To Sponsor Rugby Club, Stadium Sports Plaza

GLENDALE, Colo.—The $1.4-billion Westerra Credit Union has entered into a three-year sponsorship with Infinity Park, home of the Glendale Raptors Rugby Football Club, The Villager reported.

While the amount of the sponsorship was not disclosed, The Villager said that deal gives Westerra naming rights to the stadium’s sports plaza, an open-air space located on the north end of the 50-yard line. The new Westerra Credit Union Sports Plaza can accommodate up to 300 guests.

The agreement is an extension of a sponsorship between Westerra, the Raptors, and Infinity Park, The Villager reported.

The CU, based in Denver, said the naming rights sponsorship is a natural next step for two “locally minded organizations.”

“Infinity Park is something I’ve been exposed to personally over the years. I’ve been able to get to know the people at Infinity Park. It is very community focused,” Anthony Weaver, branch manager at the CU’s Cherry Creek location, told the publication.

In addition to the Westerra Sports Plaza, Westerra Credit Union’s logo will be displayed on the men’s jerseys for the 2017 and 2018 seasons. Westerra also receives signage throughout the stadium and the opportunity to have an on-site presence at all Infinity Park events, including rugby tournaments, annual Monday Movie Madness, and Glendale’s Bruises & Brews Beerfest, The Villager reported.
