DENVER–Westerra Credit Union has launched a “Money Market Select” account it said is designed to let its members earn while they spend by maximizing the value of their daily transactions.
The account is paying 3.50% APY on daily balances of $100,000 or more and which have 10 qualifying swipes per month on a member’s consumer debit or credit card.
“Because the Money Market Select account seamlessly integrates with existing financial routines, members won't need to make major changes to their spending habits to unlock its benefits,” the $2-billion credit union said in announcing the product.
Westerra added its employees are available to ensure members understand how the features work.
To ‘Reward’ Members
“This new product has been designed to reward individuals as they manage their finances,” said Chief Marketing Officer Wade Paschall. “Simply by engaging in their regular spending routines, Westerra members can earn substantial returns on their account balance and effectively turn their routine expenses into a rewarding financial strategy.”
Westerra has more than 123,000 members.
