MADISON, Wis.–The World Council of Credit Unions will host a webinar titled, “Climate Change Challenges and Opportunities for Credit Unions” today.
The webinar will begin at 10 a.m. E.T.
“Climate change is one of the greatest challenges facing the world today. It will require cooperation on a global scale,” WOCCU said. “Credit unions have a unique role as member-owned cooperative financial institutions; they prioritize community resilience and long-term sustainability. This is an opportunity for credit unions to innovate, serve member needs and expand their relevance.”
WOCCU said the webinar will explore some of the challenges climate change presents to sovereign credit ratings around the world and the impact that has on credit unions, as well as some of the challenges credit unions in Africa and Ukraine face, and how they are working on climate-resilient solutions in response to those.”
