ALEXANDRIA, Va.–NCUA will host a webinar today on the minority depository institution designation and how it can benefit their members and communities.

According to NCUA, the webinar, part of MDI Awareness Month, will feature presentations from the NCUA’s Offices of Minority and Women Inclusion, Consumer Financial Protection, and Financial Technology and Access.
The presentations will cover topics including:
- Defining MDIs and qualifying requirements.
- The MDI self-designation process, using the online credit union profile.
- MDIs’ role in expanding financial inclusion.

This webinar will be close captioned, and there is no charge. Participants will be able to log in and view the event on their computers or mobile devices using the registration link. They should allow pop-ups from this website.
