MADISON, Wis.–With plastic card fraud continuing to escalate, CUNA Mutual will be sharing new information with credit union policyholders to help them better understand risks and reduce losses during an upcoming webinar.
“Expanding Payment Capabilities with Confidence” will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 10, at 10 a.m. Central Time.
The hour-long webinar will be conducted by CUNA Mutual Group’s Robert Jarosinski and Visa’s Andy Sun and will focus on:
- Preliminary results from CUNA Mutual’s credit union industry-first plastic card loss benchmarking survey
- Latest loss trends (e.g. 91% of submitted plastic card losses are the result of card-present, counterfeit fraud; some credit unions reporting more than a 70% reduction in card-present, counterfeit fraud since the full implementation of EMV)
- Discussion of cool fraud management technology on the horizon, such as a dynamic CVV2 code
