MARGATE, Fla.–We Florida Financial Credit Union has become the latest to launch a “Heroes Loan,” which it said offers those who serve and protect, both active and veteran, up to 50 basis points off their consumer loan rate.
“The goal of this loan is to show support for local heroes, as they have supported their community time and time again,” the credit union said.
We Florida Financial said its definition of a hero includes military, veterans, paramedics, EMT, healthcare employees, public law enforcement, and fire department personnel.
The credit union said qualified members may qualify for the rate discount with automatic payments from an EarnMore Checking account or a .25% rate discount without automatic payments from an EarnMore Checking account, both with no application fees.
Huge Population of Vets
We Florida cited data from the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs showing the state has the third largest population of veterans in the nation, and that as a result it determined the Heroes Loan was important to offer to the community.
“Here at We Florida Financial we believe that the results we achieve are a product of the actions we take,” said VP-Marketing Dawn Clark. “We can’t overlook all of the amazing men and women who have helped and continue to help this community stay safe, especially during this pandemic we are all still trying to recover from.”
