MADISON, Wis. — The World Young Credit Union Professional Network (WYCUP) has opened the annual WYCUP scholarship program, saying it is offering two “exciting opportunities to advance leadership skills for emerging leaders” during 2024.
The 2024 scholarship will award up to six credit union professionals, who are 40 years of age and younger, the opportunity to choose between two all-expense paid education and networking events.
The organization said up to three scholars will join WYCUP, a network of the Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions (WFCU), at the Confederation of Caribbean Credit Unions Convention (CCCU) in St. Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean to discuss sustainable growth and development.
In addition, up to three scholars will join WYCUP at the World Credit Union Conference (WCUC) for joint WYCUP and Global Women’s Leadership Network (GWLN) events in Boston in July to “learn, network and engage with the largest gathering of credit union professionals in the world.”
‘Shared Global Challenges’
Along with the choice of two destination events, scholarship recipients will engage with their global peers during several virtual and in-person events throughout 2024 as WYCUP said it “explores opportunities for greater collaboration on shared global credit union challenges.”
Sponsorship and directed donation opportunities are now open for 2024. The organization thanked PSCU, Servus Credit Union, and TruStage for their support.
The Deadline
The scholarship portal will close on Dec. 15, Scholarship winners will be announced in January 2024.
