MADISON, Wis.–The World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) will host a webinar titled “A Showcase of Digital Financial Inclusion and Entrepreneurship Solutions in Peru and Ecuador” on Feb. 21. The webinar will begin at 2 p.m. EST.
“World Council of Credit Unions’ (WOCCU)/USAID Economic Inclusion Project (EIP) has worked with credit unions and other stakeholders in Peru and Ecuador to develop and implement multiple digital solutions to provide Venezuelan migrants and vulnerable local residents with access to formal financial services, employment training and entrepreneurial opportunities,” WOCCU said.
The World Council said the virtual event will feature descriptions of those digital solutions and how they have changed the lives of thousands of people who have used them to save money, obtain credit and even open their own businesses.
The webinar will feature presentations from:
- Diana Londoño, technical director, WOCCU Economic Inclusion Project
- Carlos Corominas, head of Inclusive Impact and Sustainability - LAC Region, Visa
- Amparo Nalvarte Garcia, CEO and Co-Founder, B89
The event will offer both Spanish and English interpretation.
