WOCCU Webinar to Focus on CU Cybersecurity Challenges & Best Practices

MADISON, Wis.–The World Council of Credit Unions will host a webinar titled “Credit Union Cybersecurity Challenges and Best Practices” on April 29 at 10 a.m. ET.

“The world online is incredibly dangerous, with more cyber threats being unleashed each day,” WOCCU said. “That is why credit unions across the globe must expect to face a cyber breach and have a plan in place for what to do when it happens.”
WOCCU said its Challenge 2025 webinar will examine the tools and technologies needed to successfully ensure a credit union and its members stay protected in an increasingly hostile, connected environment.

“We will explore the real-world questions auditors are asking financial institutions about their information security and IT programs,” WOCCU stated. “We will also look at the different realities large and small credit unions are facing when it comes to cybersecurity, and how their approaches differ when it comes to defending themselves from online threats.”

The webinar will feature presentations from Jonathan Ciley, VP-information technology with Hudson Valley CU, and Paul Treece, Volunteer IT director with Lewisham Plus Credit Union in the U.K.
