MADISON, Wis.–WOCCU has announced a new webinar: “The School of Dreamers: Growing Entrepreneurship and Financial Inclusion in Peru.”
The free webinar is scheduled for 10 a.m. ET on June 9.
The School of Dreamers is a program created by World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) Economic Inclusion Project that strengthens Venezuelan migrant and local Peruvian entrepreneurs to help them design or improve their marketing and customer loyalty strategies, create a value proposition and make their businesses competitive in the Peruvian market, the World Council said.
“This WOCCU webinar will examine how more than 1,200 entrepreneurs have been trained and 788 have defined their business plans in the first 10 months of the program,” WOCCU said.
The First Step
The School of Dreamers is the first step on what WOCCU calls the “Economic Inclusion Route.” The program also allows participants to apply for seed capital and receive training on financial education. To date, approximately 200 people have received seed capital to bolster their businesses, WOCCU said.
The virtual event will feature presentations from:

- Oscar Guzman, chief of party, WOCCU Economic Inclusion Project
