MADISON, Wis. —The World Council of Credit Unions has announced “four world-renowned speakers” for its 2019 World Credit Union Conference, set for July 28-31 in The Bahamas.
More than 1,800 credit union executives from 60 countries are expected to attend the conference, which will focus on leadership, cybersecurity, digital technologies and the economy.

The keynote speakers include:
- Connie Dieken. “A Speakers Hall of Fame inductee, Dieken the founder of Influence360˚ and The Dieken Group, a strategic advisory firm to C-suite executives on five continents. She helps senior leaders at the world’s biggest brands influence positive change during their organizations’ defining moments. She has been named one of the Top 10 Female Business Owners by the National Association of Female Business Owners. Connie built her unique skill set during her 20 years as a television journalist for NBC and ABC stations,” WOCCU said.
- Patrick Schwerdtfeger. WOCCU called Schwerdtfeger a leading authority on technology trends including big data, artificial intelligence, and blockchain. He’s the founder of Trend Mastery and the host of the Strategic Business Insights video. “Patrick has headlined for dozens of Fortune 500 companies with his specialty in big data, artificial intelligence, Fintech, blockchain, and digital marketing,” said WOCCU. “He is a respected author of several books and has been featured in The New York Times, CNN Money, Fortune and numerous other publications.”
- Pippa Malmgren. Dr. Pippa Malmgren served as a presidential advisor to George W. Bush in the White House and on The National Economic Council where she handled all financial market issues. Malmgren also co-founded H Robotics, which manufactures modular, commercial-use drones for a wide range of industries including mining, oil and gas, insurance, construction and public safety, WOCCU said. She was named one of the 50 Top Inspiring Women in the United Kingdom and one of the Top 100 in Tech by @WATC_WeAreTech. She is a Non-Executive Board Member of the Department of International Trade in the United Kingdom.
- Mikko Hypponen, Hypponen is a worldwide authority on computer security and the chief research officer of F-Secure. “He has been featured in the New York Times, Wired and Scientific American, and has lectured at the universities of Oxford, Stanford and Cambridge,” said WOCCU. “He sits on the advisory boards of EUROPOL and the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Hypponen has delivered hundreds of talks in over 40 countries over the last 20 years, including keynotes at the world’s foremost security conferences such as Black Hat, DEF CON, DLD, and RSA. His TED Talk from 2011 is the most watched online security talk on the Internet, having been watched 1.5 million times and translated to over 40 languages.”
