JACKSONVILLE, Fla.— VyStar Credit Union said it has signed a partnership agreement to participate in the United States Army’s Partnership for Your Success (PaYS) Program, which provides employment opportunities to soldiers as they transition into civilian life.
According to VyStar, the PaYS Program establishes a strategic partnership between the U.S. Army and a cross section of corporations, companies and public sector agencies. As a PaYS partner, VyStar said it is agreeing to guarantee an interview and possible employment to soldiers and veterans.
“This enables VyStar to live out its purpose to Do Good and honor its heritage as a credit union founded at Naval Air Station Jacksonville,” the CU said.
‘Proven Leaders’
“We are proud to partner with the Army to create meaningful career opportunities for the brave men and women who have served our country,” said VyStar President/CEO Brian Wolfburg. “These individuals are proven leaders and uphold the values that are important to our credit union. Becoming a PaYS partner aligns with our commitment to supporting our troops and amplifies those efforts.”
VyStar said it offers all employees a robust benefits package, which includes paid time off, medical/dental insurance and 401(k) with company match. Other benefits include parental/family care leave, child adoption assistance, student loan payoff stipends, upfront tuition assistance and paid time off for volunteering.
For its military employees, VyStar said it offers participation in a military-focused employee resource group, flexible benefits including military leave, and much more.
Due in part to these benefits, VyStar noted it was recently recognized as a 2023 Military Friendly Employer and Military Friendly Spouse Employer by VIQTORY.
Additional Programs
In addition to employee benefits, VyStar said it also has programs built for military members, including its Military Heroes Mortgage Program and military-themed debit cards. VyStar added it also works with numerous nonprofit organizations that support military members. In 2021, VyStar donated over $800,000 to military initiatives.
