Volt Credit Union Has a New Person in Charge; Guadalupe CU Also Names New CEO

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.–New CEOs have been named in two states.

Chris Moss

In Missouri, the $91.8-million Volt CU has selected Christopher Moss to lead the organization. Moss succeeds Loretta Roney, who departed the credit union in May to become CEO of InCharge Debt Solutions in Orlando, Fla.

Prior to joining Volt, Moss spent the prior 12 years with Credit Union of Oklahoma, most recently serving as executive vice president, and prior to that as VP-operations and lending. Before that Moss was with Bank of Oklahoma.

Volt CU has more than 7,100 members.

New (CEO) Mexico

Separately, in Santa Fe, N.M., Guadalupe Credit Union (GCU) has named Tanya Romero-Sturgeon as its new CEO, succeeding the retiring Winona Nava.

Romero-Sturgeon

Romero-Sturgeon began with GCU 21 years ago as a member service representative, and has since served as branch manager, operations manager and COO.

“In an era marked by rapid changes in the financial industry, Tanya's comprehensive understanding of our operations and her devotion to our members make her the ideal choice to lead us forward," said Board Chair Linda Medina.

Added Romero Sturgeon, “I am truly honored to serve as the next president/CEO of Guadalupe Credit Union. With the support of our amazing team, we will continue to innovate and create new opportunities for our members to achieve financial wellness.”
