Vizo Financial Says First-Ever Virtual Payments Conference to Become Permanently Virtual

GREENSBORO, N.C.–Vizo Financial held its 2020 Payments Conference virtually for the first time. The conference featured five expert speakers from a variety of payment-related organizations, including:

  • Adrian Brown, The Clearing House
  • Jessica Lelii, Vizo Financial
  • Kevin Olsen, VSoft
  • Kimberly Rector, MACHA
  • Melanie Vanderau, Mette, Evans & Woodside

Attendees utilized the event app to join the sessions and connect with other credit union professionals, Vizo said. The conference focused education sessions on new and faster payment types, including “Losses at Lightspeed: Fraud and Risks in Faster Payments” and “Virtual Currency, Peer to Peer Payments and Mobile Payments: The Bold New Frontier of Payment Systems.”

The conference also covered ACH, as well as domestic and international wires.

‘Successful Event’

“Even though we love seeing our member credit unions in person, the most important thing is that we provide them with payments education that is relevant and useful for their institutions,” said Jaime Agostino, director of marketing and business development for Vizo Financial. “With the event app, we were still able to provide an avenue for networking and discussions, making it a very successful event.”

Moving forward, Vizo Financial said its  Payments Conference will continue to be held virtually in order to make the payment education accessible to the entire Vizo Financial membership. The 2021 event will take place next October.
