GREENSBORO, N.C.–Vizo Financial Corporate Credit Union has announced changes to its board following its 2022 annual meeting, which was conducted virtually.
No election was held this year, as the Corporate received just three nominations to fill three open board seats. Approved for three-year terms were Jeff Chelius (incumbent) of Riverfront FCU in Wyomissing, Penn.; Derek Fuzzell of PAHO/WHO FCU in Washington, D.C.; and Scott Woods (incumbent) of South Carolina FCU, North Charleston, S.C.
DuringVizo Financial’s board reorganization meeting, the following officers were appointed:
- Chair, Scott Woods, president/CEO of South Carolina FCU
- Vice Chair, Jeff Chelius, CFO of Riverfront FCU
- Treasurer, Daniel Berry, CEO of Duke University FCU
- Secretary, Genice DeCorte, CEO of HealthShare Credit Union, Greensboro, N.C.
Other Appointments
In addition, the board appointed Sue DeStephano, president/CEO of First Capital FCU in York, Penn. and Brian Hedgepeth, president/CEO of Bronco FCU in Franklin, Va. to serve as non-voting associate directors.
“This is a new program adopted by the board of directors to provide a greater opportunity for diverse representation at the governance level,” Vizo Financial said.
Committee appointments included the following:
Supervisory Committee: Richard C. Burtnett, Belco Community CU, Harrisburg, Penn.; Michal Parker, Secured Advantage FCU, Simpsonville, S.C.; and Amy Lichwa, Norwin Teachers FCU, North Huntingdon, Penn.
