MIDDLETOWN, Penn.–A virtual hot dog eating contest is being held today and is open to everyone. Hosted by Vizo Financial Corporate Credit Union, which has held the contest as an in-person event for the past six years, today’s virtual competition will raise funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in Hershey, Penn. and is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET.
“Credit union employees are being invited to try their luck as contestants!” Vizo Financial said. “There is no fee to enter the contest and we encourage contestants to solicit donations for their hot dog eating efforts. Contestants will compete virtually through an online video conference platform.”
The event will include both women’s and men’s competitions, occurring at the same time. Hot dogs, buns and condiments will be provided to each contestant prior to the day of the contest, Vizo Financial said.
The hot dog eating contest will be a virtual event broadcast live through its Hot Dog Eating Contest event webpage with CMN Hospitals.
