ALEXANDRIA, Va.—The video recording of NCUA Board Chairman Debbie Matz’s Oct. 30 Open Forum is now available on the agency’s website.
The recording and text transcript of the Forum are posted online here and will be available on the site for one year.
Chairman Matz was joined at the 90-minute Open Forum by Vice Chairman Rick Metsger, Board Member J. Mark McWatters and senior staff. They discussed a variety of issues of interest to credit union system stakeholders, including:
- The move to a two-year agency budget.
- The overhead transfer rate.
- The possibility of returning to an 18-month exam cycle as early as 2017.
- Alternating exams with state authorities.
- The agency’s proposed member business lending rule.
- Cybersecurity concerns.
- Modernization of the field-of-membership rule.
