NOVI, Mich.–Vibe Credit Union President/CEO Allan Kemp McMorris has announced plans to retire after 31 years leading the organization. McMorris said he plans to step down from the $1.12-billion Vibe CU in the summer of 2022.
In all, McMorris has spent 36 years in credit unions, beginning as accounting supervisor at the then $367-million Oakland County Credit Union. He was named president/CEO in March of 1990.
“I’ve been blessed with a dedicated board of directors, an extraordinary management team, and a devoted team of employees who care about our members,” McMorris said in a statement. “I’ve had the opportunity to serve the movement and my community, and it’s truly been a pleasure. I look forward to watching the exciting future of Vibe Credit Union.”
Added Board Chair Dale Cunningham, “Allan has built an amazing team dedicated to serving and improving the financial lives of our members. He has built an exceptional culture for the management team and staff that always puts the members first. We want to thank and acknowledge Allan for the strength of the credit union today and wish him well in his retirement. A search for a successor has been launched.
