ORONO, Maine — University Credit Union has named a new president and CEO. The credit union has selected Renee Ouellette to lead the organization, becoming the first female president/CEO in the credit union’s 52-year history.
“My fellow board members and I are thrilled to welcome Renee to her new role, having worked alongside her and trusted her expertise for more than 10 years. With this transition, we begin an exciting new chapter in UCU’s history,” said Board Chair Gerald Hayman, Jr. “In addition, I wish to thank our Executive Vice President Deb White-Rideout for stepping in as interim president during the board’s extensive CEO search process.”

“I want to thank our board of directors for placing their confidence in me to lead UCU. Together, we will continue building on our strong growth and effecting positive change in our communities around the state,” said Ouellette.
The $320.5-million credit union has approximately 28,000 members.
