Unity One Names New CEO

FORT WORTH, Texas– Unity One Credit Union has named a new CEO.

Scott Ward

The $307-million Unity One said it has selected Scott Ward to lead the organization and succeed Gary Williams, who retired after 27 years of service with the  credit union.

Ward has been with Unity One Credit Union for 34 years, during which he has held numerous positions, including loan officer, branch manager, chief operations officer, and most recently, president.

Ward, originally from Wisconsin, holds a degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin. He began working for Unity One while the credit union’s headquarters were in St. Paul, Minn., and then transferred to Fort Worth as the credit union’s headquarters were relocated in the early 1990s.

“I am humbled and honored that the Unity One credit union board of directors has entrusted me with the future of this credit union,” said Ward. “I’m excited for what the future holds for Unity One. We have plenty of opportunities ahead of us in the coming years.”

Unity One has approximately 29,000 members.
