LONG ISLAND CITY, N.Y.–United Nations FCU will hold its 5th Annual United in Sustainability Summit for credit unions on Nov. 14.
The event is scheduled for 8:30 to 16:00 ET at the headquarters of the United Nations.
“Learn how to start or advance your sustainability journey. The event will feature impactful conversations with subject matter, industry, and policy experts on climate risk mitigation, adaptation, resiliency, and socio-economic justice,” the credit union said.
UNFCU said United in Sustainability (UIS) is a network of North American credit unions and associations dedicated to positively impacting our world. The annual United in Sustainability Summit was established in 2018. It serves as a platform for credit unions and industry thought leaders to benefit from timely information, tools, and resources, the credit union added.
“By making positive and proactive choices, sustainability can further credit unions’ organizational growth, performance, and engagement with members and staff. The Summit also provides an opportunity to learn how the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs, impact our communities. Our collective actions can build a better, more sustainable future in localizing the SDGs.”
