MADISON, Wis.– UW Credit Union members are now being offered free delivery on EatStreet orders purchased with their UW Credit Union-issued credit or debit card.
The promotion is to run through Dec. 31 and can be applied at more than 15,000 EatStreet-connected restaurants, many of which are “locally owned companies that have been impacted by COVID-19,” the credit union noted.
According to UWCU, the core membership of which is the University of Wisconsin, the recent partnership between the two Madison-based companies is the first of its kind for EatStreet, one of the largest online and mobile food delivery services in the United States. EatStreet has seen a 30%-50% increase in orders since March, with average delivery fees ranging from $0.99 to $4.99, UWCU said.
“As a leadership team, we often find ourselves asking a lot of big questions,” said UW Credit Union CMO Anne Norman. “Questions about how to better serve our members, how to give back to our community, and how to operate as a financial resource, not just a financial institution. Our connection to EatStreet was prompted by one simple question - how can we help our members save on their own terms?”
How to Participate
To participate, members download the EatStreet app or visit eatstreet.com, after which they can enter the address to see the restaurants available for delivery in a particular location. Once the order is placed, paying with a UW Credit Union debit or credit card activates the $0 delivery (it will not work if Apple Pay or Apple Wallet is selected, UW CU noted).
