MADISON, Wis.–UW Credit Union said it is partnering with Carvana to offer its members vehicles.
According to the CU, Carvana serves the Madison and Milwaukee markets with an inventory of over 19,700 cars that can be reviewed and purchased using “no haggle” pricing, 360-degree photo technology, vehicle delivery directly to the buyer, a seven-day money back guarantee and a “worry-free” warranty.
“Carvana provides peace of mind,” commented Josh Fetting, UWCU’s sales manager for consumer lending, in a statement. “You can browse an extensive inventory of high-quality, preowned vehicles 24 hours a day, secure your financing through UW Credit Union right on the same website and even have your vehicle delivered directly to your doorstep. It relieves a whole lot of stress.”
In addition to the seven-day money back guarantee allowing members to return or exchange their vehicle for any reason, the credit union said the “Worry-Free Guarantee” provides a limited
warranty for 100 days, or 4,189 miles, as well as a free Carfax vehicle history report.
“You not only get to test drive the car,” Fetting said, “you get to test own it. The seven-day return policy gives you a week to see if your car truly fits into your life. If it doesn’t, you simply return it. This is pretty much unheard of.”
Supporting Educational Process
UW Credit Union said it is helping members through the education process of buying a car through Carvana. When members order a vehicle online, UWCU is providing the financing, with the vehicle then delivered to the member’s door, or, for members in the Milwaukee area, the vehicle can be picked up at an on-site Carvana “vending machine.”
For cars located out-of-market where a Carvana vending machine is not available, the company subsidizes $200 of airfare for a one-way flight for car pickup, according to UWCU.
Carvana also offers easy trade-ins, “giving a firm offer online for a car in less than two minutes, followed by quick pickup of the vehicle,” UWCU said.
During 2018 Carvana recorded $1.96 billion in sales revenue representing 94,108 cars sold.
The $3-billion UWCU has more than 250,000 members.
