MADISON, Wis. — UW Credit Union has opened up a branch with permanent space inside the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse’s Student Union today.
The Student Union is a newly constructed addition to campus that recently opened.
“We’re proud to be part of this campus community and new building, both which truly enhance students’ college lives,” said Jason Feist, UW Credit Union’s vice president of member services, in a statement. “Because the building is new, we were able to construct a space ideal for members’ busy lifestyles. For example, we included an iPad station for on-the-go transactions. Overall, our space gives students, faculty and staff an inviting, welcoming place to do their banking.”
UW-La Crosse entered into a partnership with UW Credit Union in August 2016 to provide banking services on campus, as well as support the University’s “It Make$ Cents” financial literacy program and student scholarships. UW Credit Union opened a temporary space in the Cartwright Center after the agreement was reached.
“We’re dedicated to providing members with cutting-edge technology that puts their best interests first, and the new Student Union is in line with those goals,” said Feist. “We’re excited to be part of the UW-La Crosse campus community and invite everyone to visit the new space.”
The UW-La Crosse branch includes a teller area, mobile banking station and a private meeting room. The UW-La Crosse community also has access to three of UW Credit Union’s surcharge-free ATMs across campus. The credit union provides consumer financial services products including checking, all types of consumer loans, including private student loans, as well as mortgage lending products.
