TAMPA, Fla.–A local credit union has bought naming rights to part of a football stadium under construction here.
USF Federal Credit Union has paid $6 million for the rights to name the walkway that will lead into the main entrance of a new home stadium to be the home of the University of South Florida Bulls.
The walkway is where the team’s traditional pregame Bulls Stampede will take place.
Including the funds from USFCU, the university reported it has raised more than $43 million of its $50 million goal for the stadium project.
The 35,000-seat stadium, which is expected to cost $340 million, is to break ground in 2024 and is scheduled to host its first game in August of 2027.
