USE CU Offering Number of Financial Wellness Programs for College Students

LA MESA, Calif.–Saying a student’s “financial wellness journey can’t be put on hold because of a pandemic,” USE Credit Union said it is offering a number of smart financial wellness programs to help students keep on track to achieve their financial dreams before and after graduation.

USE, which stands for University and State Employees, said college students make up a significant proportion of its membership, and that more than 50 years it has been serving students, faculty and staff of San Diego State University, Southwestern College, University of California San Diego, University of California Davis and University of California Berkeley.

“Life has been full of unexpected moments lately,” said USECU President/CEO Jim Harris. “USECU is here for all students to keep their plans on track and to give them the confidence to prepare for whatever life throws their way -- pandemic included.”

Among the offers currently available to students, USECU said, is a loan through a partnership with USECU and the university’s bookstore if the student needs a new laptop or software for classes.

Students are also being urged to take advantage of the ‘Spread the Love’ bonus, in which students can earn $100 for referring a friend that opens a Free Checking Account with eStatements.
