RYE, N.Y.––USAlliance Federal Credit Union has selected a new president and CEO.
The $3-billion credit union has named Harry Zhu to lead the organization beginning Oct. 2. Zhu most recently served as chief retail lending officer at the $19-billion Alliant Credit Union in Chicago.
“USALLIANCE has been financially empowering its members since 1966,” said Zhu in a statement. “I can’t wait to lead this growing and innovative organization into the future. By bringing a new perspective to our mission and working collaboratively with the entire credit union team, I believe we can deliver even more value while creating sustainable growth that benefits our members.”
Zhu completed MBA and both his Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering, at the University of Michigan.
‘Lifelong Learner’
“As a lifelong learner, he has multiple professional certifications and has continued his education through various executive education programs,” USAlliance said.
USAlliance added in its statement that the board wanted to recognize the leadership of interim CEO/Executive Vice President/CFO Brett Wheeler, and Executive Vice President Kevin Randall for their “invaluable contributions during the CEO search process.”
The search was handled by DDJ Myers.
