USALLIANCE Latest To Announce Voice-Enabled Mobile Banking

RYE, N.Y.– USALLIANCE Financial Credit Union announced has become the latest CU to launch a voice-enabled mobile banking for the Apple virtual assistant Siri.

USALLIANCE mobile banking app users with smart phones or tablets on the iOS operating platform can now ask Siri for account balances or to transfer funds between accounts, the credit union said.

It noted that in seeking to take a measured approach regarding security, Siri-enabled banking applications and other voice-assistants running on a device with a screen will show account details but not speak them aloud.

“USALLIANCE was among the first on the market to integrate fingerprint biometric identification, launch user-friendly Android and iOS widgets for quick access to account balances, and create watch apps for Apple Watch and Android Wear,” said Kevin Randall, chief information officer at USALLIANCE. “Siri is a natural digital progression to extend functionality even further and to provide users with the highest levels of usability, convenience, and performance.”

USALLIANCE said mobile banking has become one of its fastest growing channels, and is, for many members, their primary method of banking.

The $1-billion credit union said it worked with Massachusetts-based Vertifi Software, LLC to provide the solution.
