UKFCU Rolls Out New ‘Take Care’ Initiative

LEXINGTON, Ky.–The University of Kentucky Federal Credit Union (UKFCU) is rolling out a new #TakeCare campaign it said it hopes will inspire members of the community to share positivity and participate in acts of kindness.

Starting the week of Oct. 19, UKFCU is undertaking acts of kindness in the community. Each week until the end of the year, UKFCU employees will be going to different non-profits in the community and either dropping off needed supplies or volunteering, the credit union said.

UKFCU employees are also planning on hosting a company food drive to help support these organizations.

Members of the community are being encouraged to participate by posting their own positive words or showing their acts of kindness on social media using the hashtag #TakeCare. For a limited time only, UKFCU is offering face masks and buttons with encouraging messages at all six of their branch locations to help spread the message of #TakeCare.

“Now is a critical time to remind others that we care about them and bring as much positivity into our community as possible,” said David Kennedy, president/CEO. “Credit unions were founded on the principle of people helping people, and we believe it is important to promote physical and mental health and joy within our community. We have been proud to serve the community for over 83 years, and we look forward to growing our relationship with the next generation.”
