SPOKANE, Wash.—Horizon Credit Union is acquiring Amicus FCU.
The deal is expected to close this spring or summer of 2016 after the two credit union boards approve the merger, the Spokesman Review reported.
Horizon has about 65,000members, 22 branches and covers three states.
Horizon has been expanding in the past several years. It was started in 1947 as a credit union to serve employees of Kaiser Aluminum.
If approved the merger with $12-million Amicus will make Horizon an $830-million credit union with 250 employees.
