Two State Credit Union Foundations to Follow Leagues and Merge

HARRISBURG, Penn.–The New Jersey Credit Union Foundation and the Pennsylvania Credit Union Foundation have merged to create a new foundation, the CrossState Credit Union Foundation.

The move follows an earlier merger between the New Jersey Credit Union League and the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association to create the CrossState Credit Union Association.

“We will be working diligently to ensure that both New Jersey and Pennsylvania credit unions continue to benefit from our financial reality fairs, financial literacy, professional development programs, and other financial education resources in grants,” said Michael Hou, NJCUF board chair and first vice chairman of United Teletech FCU. “We believe this merger will be a great benefit to the foundations in both states, broadening the capacity to play serve credit unions and their members.”

Added Jeff DeBree, PACUF board chair and CEO of Penn East FCU, “This is an exciting day for credit unions in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.”
