MILTON, Penn.–Two Pennsylvania CUs are merging. Members of the $18-million NU Community CU have voted in favor of merging into the $352-million Service 1st Credit Union in Danville, Penn.
The merger has received approval from the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities. The effective date of the merger is June 1, 2018, with full account conversion scheduled for August 2, 2018, according to the Pennsylvania CU Association.
NU Community Credit Union employees will be joining Service 1st, and NUCU’s branch will become Service 1st’s eleventh office.
Combined, the credit unions will serve approximately 32,000 members.
