Two Pennsylvania CUs in Merger

YORK, Penn.–Two Pennsylvania credit unions are merging. The $86-million White Rose Credit Union said it will be absorbing via merger the $1.9-million Local 229 IBEW FCU, which had approximately 500 members.

White Rose Credit Union said it is opening a satellite branch location, in the building that currently houses the Local 229 IBEW organization.

With the addition of the new satellite branch in Manchester, Penn., members will now have access to five public branches (once the lobbies reopen due to modified operations as a result of COVID-19), over 70 years of serving the community, and a strong tradition of the “people helping people” philosophy, the credit union said.

White House Credit Union has approximately 11,000 members.
