HAMILTON, Ohio–Two credit unions in this state are merging.
Chaco Credit Union, based here, and Telhio Credit Union, Columbus, have completed a merger in which Chaco will retain its branding. The new name will be “Chaco: A Telhio Credit Union.”
Chaco Credit Union, which was originally the credit Union for Champion Paper, got its start in 1938, while Telhio Credit Union was formed in 1934 to serve the phone industry.
The merged institution will serve 11 counties in Ohio and will have assets in excess of $780 million ad more than 72,000 members.
