MUSKEGO, Wis. –– InterLutions, the business solution CUSO of Corporate Central Credit Union, is reporting that Wisconsin-based Educators Credit Union of Wisconsin and Ohio-based KEMBA Financial Credit Union have selected its collaborative employee benefits initiative, I-Care.
“Developed by credit unions for credit unions, I-Care works with employee benefit specialists, helping HR departments design and administer better employee health plans at lower costs,” Corporate Central said.
I-Care also supplies the data, intelligence, and networking opportunities credit unions need to better navigate the ever-changing healthcare world, the company added.
“As more credit unions around the country join the I-Care community, the impact of this collaborative employee benefits resource only increases,” said Jesse Kohl, president of InterLutions. “We all work together, and as a result, I-Care continues to empower more credit unions with more healthcare know-how. We help credit unions provide superior benefit solutions that are so important to the credit union culture. I-Care’s goal is to help more and more credit unions provide the kind of benefits their employees deserve, while lowering the costs of providing those competitive benefit packages.”
According to Peter Stein, chief people officer of Educators Credit Union, "Through July, we saved about $383,000 over last year just for our medical plan. If you annualize it, that’s about a $600,000 savings. We decided to go with I-Care not only for the cost savings, but also for the high level of benefits and consulting services. We can control our medical costs and design our plan based on staff needs. We’re able to give our employees better benefits at a lower cost to them, and the transition was very easy. Knowing what I know now, I would have joined I-Care sooner.”
According to Corporate Central, since its inception in 2015, the growing I-Care community now provides benefit solutions to over 3,000 people. In addition to offering benefit program alternatives, I-Care also offers HR support services that help credit unions design and administer enhanced health programs via forums, conferences, webinars, workshops and one-on-one consulting. It also provides access to networking venues where members can share experiences and solutions to common benefit-management challenges, Corporate Central said.
“Our benefit consultants, specialists, and health plan management experts are here to offer credit union-specific benefit solutions,” Kohl said. “With a coalition this strong, I-Care has your employees covered.”
