SPARTA, Mich.—Rogue River Community Credit Union and Newaygo County Service Employees CU are merging to become Compass Credit Union.
The new credit union will be led by Erika Garrison-Bauer, current CEO of Rogue River, based in Sparta, Mich., MLive.com reported.
The combined assets of the two CUs will be approximately $97 million, and the combined membership more than 9,000.
As part of the merger NCSECU will broaden under Compass to become community chartered. The expanded credit union will offer more services to members, Garrison-Bauer said in the MLive report.
"We look forward to additional expansion and growing with new partners as this will allow us to reduce imposed fees on members and help us better serve new and existing communities," she said in the report.
