ERIE, Penn.–Two men were arrested after kidnapping a man and forcing him to attempt to rob a CU here.
According to police, Brian Camacho-Vero, 24, and Michael Johnson, 24, allegedly kidnapped a man at knife and gunpoint and forced him into a branch of Erie Community CU and told him to withdraw money. The two men have been charged with kidnapping, theft and robbery.
Police said they believe the victim, who has not been identified, owed Camacho-Vero and Johnson money.
Police said the victim approached a teller and asked her to call police, which led Camacho-Vero and Johnson to allegedly leave the scene in the victim's car. Police found the two men a short time later.
No money was taken during the alleged robbery attempt.
