WASHINGTON—Congress has two hearings scheduled this week that are aimed at addressing regulatory relief.
The U.S. Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee will be holding a hearing on Feb. 10 with Larry Fazio, director of NCUA’s Office of Examination and Insurance, among those speaking to the issue of regulation. On Feb. 12, another hearing on the same issue will be held by the same committee, this time with Wally Murray, president and CEO of Greater Nevada Credit Union, testifying on behalf of CUNA.
Murray currently chairs the Nevada Credit Union League board, serves on CUNA's examinations and supervision subcommittee and was nominated by CUNA to serve on the National Credit Union Administration's revised risk-based capital proposal working group.
