BEAVER, Penn.—Two credit unions have named new CEOs.
Lynn Stephenson has been named CEO of West-Aircomm Federal Credit Union. She succeeds Ray Brunner, who retired as CEO of the $212-million CU after leading it for 31 years.
Previously, Stephenson was executive vice president. She has been a 35-year employee of the credit union.
Brunner led West-Aircomm since 1985 when it had $25 million in assets. In 2005, the CU was approved for a three-county community charter for Beaver, Butler and Allegheny counties, the newspaper reported.
“Ray Brunner set the bar high, and I appreciate the support I am receiving from the West-Aircomm members, board of directors and employees as I assume the role of CEO,” Stephenson said in a statement.
Meanwhile, in Jackson, Mich., CP Federal Credit Union has named a new CEO to succeed John Crist, who will retire after 19 years leading the organization. On July 1, Chrissy Siders will become the fourth-ever president/CEO of the $400-million CPFCU.
"It's not really age," Crist told MLive.com regarding the retirement. "As a matter of fact, I thought I'd probably work here until I dropped over."
One thing Crist told the publication he is proud of over his term as CEO is that the CU has never laid anyone off, and only reported one year of losses.
"I think every leader has to know when it's time to stay and when it's time to leave,” he said.
