Two CUs Name New CEOs

JOLIET, Ill.-- Abri Credit Union has named Colleen Brooks President and CEO, the CU announced.

During her 19-year career at Abri, Brooks served as AVP of Human Resources and VP of HR and risk management.

Brooks holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana and an MBA from the University of St. Francis in Joliet.

“I am excited for this opportunity to grow our credit union, develop our team members and elevate our members’ experience. Our mission to ‘Help Our Members Succeed Financially’ will continue to guide us as we work together to build the credit union of the future,” said Brooks.

Brooks succeeds Brian Cedergren, who recently retired after 17 years with Abri.

MacDonald To Lead Collins Community

In Cedar Rapids, Iowa, $1.7-billion Collins Community Credit Union has named Jason MacDonald president and CEO, the CU announced.

MacDonald most recently served as chief information, strategy and people officer for Keesler Federal Credit Union.

“I am truly honored to join Collins Community Credit Union and look forward to working alongside the team to keep our members at the center of all we do while actively engaging with the community,” MacDonald said.
