Two CUs Merging into Georgia’s Own Credit Union

ATLANTA––Two credit unions have announced plans to merge into Georgia’s Own Credit Union.

Bainbridge, Ga.-based Three Rivers Credit Union here said it plans to become part of GOCO following regulatory approval.

The $11-million Three Rivers CU said in a statement the merger will allow it to provide its 4,600 members with expanded services and greater value in the form of better rates and fewer and lower fees on its products. In addition TRCU said members will also have access to more robust online and mobile services and an expanded footprint with Georgia’s Own statewide locations, as well as access to Credit Union Shared Service Center Network, which has 5,600 locations throughout the country, including 170 in Georgia.

The Three Rivers branch location on W. Shotwell St. in Bainbridge will remain open and all TRCU will staff intact, including President Thomas Joyce, who will become part of Georgia’s Own regional team.

“Our team is thrilled to be able to offer such an expanded range of products and services to our membership with an organization in Georgia’s Own who shares our values and commitment to culture, the community, and unmatched service,” said Joyce.
